The Porsche Boxter’s handling and balance make it the most desired convertible roadster. The 2010 Boxter is available in two trim choices, the base and the more powerful S version.
The standard engine in the Boxter is a 255 hp horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine. Getting the S model nets more power with its direct injected six-cylinder that produces 310 hp.
The Porsche Boxter comes with a six-speed manual for both the base and the S models. A PDK automated manual gearbox is an option for both models. Porsche’s PDK transmission can behave like a conventional automatic, but it also gives the driver the option of changing gears manually from buttons on the steering wheel.
The base Boxter comes nicely equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, fog lamps, partial leather upholstery, and a four speaker sound system with CD player. Moving up to the S model adds a seven speaker sound system and 18-inch wheels in addition to the performance enhancements.
Additionally, Porsche has an extensive options list that includes a variety of interior and exterior color and accent options, different wheel size and colors, hard top, ceramic brakes, sport seats, a Bose sound system, a short shifter, and leather interior.
