The Porsche Boxter is one of the most desired convertible roadsters on the road. The Boxter has a mid-engine layout making it a balanced, easy-to-drive sports car. It’s available in the base or S trims, the S trim increasing the engine output and adding further sports tuning and upgraded features.The standard engine in the Boxter is a 255 hp horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine. Getting the S model nets more power with its direct injected six-cylinder that produces 310 hp.
Both the base and S models of the Boxter come with a standard six-speed manual transmission. An option for both models is a PDK automated gearbox that works like a regular automatic, but drivers can manually select gears using buttons on the steering wheel.
The base Boxter comes nicely equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, fog lamps, partial leather upholstery, and a four speaker sound system with CD player. Moving up to the S model adds a seven speaker sound system and 18-inch wheels in addition to the performance enhancements.
Additionally, Porsche has an extensive options list that includes a variety of interior and exterior color and accent options, different wheel size and colors, hard top, ceramic brakes, sport seats, a Bose sound system, a short shifter, and leather interior.

This 2010 Porsche Boxster Base RWD convertible covers all of the bases. It has features like an aluminum alloy engine, stainless steel exhaust system, passisted steering with variable ratio, electrical soft top operation, a steering wheel rim with a hand brake grip and armrests in the door panels trimmed in leather.
The Boxter S from Porsche is the high-performance trim level of this popular convertible roadster. The Boxter S has a massaged direct-injected 310 horsepower version of the six-cylinder engine that produces 55 more horsepower compared to the base model. The Boxter S comes with a six-speed manual transmission, but buyers who prefer automatics can select the PDK automatic option.
